The Do’s and Don’ts of Improving Whole System Flow

Date: 15 March 2018

Time: 09:00 to 16:30

Hotel Football | Manchester

UPDATE: Due to increased demand we are now running an identical afternoon session for this event. Timings are:

  • AM: 9:30am - 1:00pm

  • PM: 1:00pm - 4:30pm

If you are already booked on to the morning session but would like to change to the afternoon, please email us at AQuA@srft.nhs.uk.

Building on the work of our Flow – Improving System Pathways (FISP) programme, we’re holding an event to share our learning so far, and how members and their partners can get involved in our 2018/19 programme.

Event overview

We’ll be sharing our experience of designing a structured programme to understand and improve flow across care systems. We'll also share what we've learnt from testing this programme over the past nine months working with three member systems.

The team will also be exploring questions around:

  • What do we mean by Whole System Flow?
  • Local context - the importance of understanding local systems
  • How do you diagnose the right problem and where do you start?
  • How to engage staff, patients and communities to co-design person centred improvements

This is also an exciting chance for members to hear about and help shape our upcoming 2018/19 Flow programme, with opportunities to ask questions ahead of submitting applications which will open in the next few weeks.

For more information about AQuA's Flow programme, check out our recent Pecha Kucha video, or our 2016 report with The Health Foundation.

Who should attend?

This event is ideal for members looking to influence change across their local health and care system, and is particularly suited to senior leaders, service managers and teams looking to improve integration across different pathways.

Members are also welcome to invite Local Authority and Third Sector colleagues from across their system.
