Applied Human Factors for Teams Programme

Event Overview:

Human factors describes understanding how everyday behaviours and error can impact on patient safety and care. Starting in May, this five-day programme will guide teams through the key theory and practicalities behind this approach, alongside leading safety experts.

Teams will also be supported to apply heir learning to a specific safety challenge that is unique to their role and environment.

Event Dates:

The programme will take place on the following dates:

  • Day 1 - 9 May 2017
  • Day 2 - 26 May 2017
  • Day 3 - 12 June 2017
  • Day 4 - 26 June 2017
  • Day 5 - 13 July 2017

Who is this event aimed at?

This programme is best suited to frontline teams looking to learn how to embed a human factors approach into their services, to help improvement patient care and safety.

Ideally at least two team members will have already have knowledge of the basic concepts behind human factors.
